The purpose of this preliminary notice is to notify Members of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF) that the Annual General Meeting will be held on:

Time : 2.00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Venue: To be confirmed
In accordance with Article 9 of the Memorandum & Articles of Association, a formal notice of the Annual General Meeting will be given to Members who are eligible to vote, 21 days before the Annual General Meeting is held.
Nomination for Election to the Grand Council
At the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, one-third (1/3rd) of the Grand Councillors who have served the longest in office since the last election, shall retire and their places may be filled by nominated Members elected in accordance with Article 19 of the Memorandum & Articles of Association. A retiring Grand Councillor shall also be eligible for re-election. Exempted from retirement are the current Office Bearers holding the offices of President, Deputy President, Honorary Secretary, and Honorary Treasurer respectively, save for instances where any of the incumbents has expressed the intention to so retire as a Grand Councillor, thereby vacating his or her seat on the Grand Council.
Any individual Member shall also be eligible for election to the Grand Council if he/she is an Ordinary Member who are eligible to vote and satisfies the criteria set out by the Nomination Committee.
In view of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, the CIIF Management on behalf of the Grand Council hereby invites Members who are eligible to vote, in nominating suitable candidates by filling in the nomination form that can be downloaded from the following link:
The completed form shall be emailed and couriered to CIIF office no later than 6th June 2018.
Submission of Motions
CIIF Management wishes to invite Members who are eligible to vote, in giving written notice of an appropriate motion not relating to the ordinary annual business of the CIIF, to be moved at the Annual General Meeting. Please take note that motions may only be submitted once the formal notice of meeting has been issued (21 days before the election).
